Summer 2014

Our early summer holiday for 2014 has been arranged in the picturesque village of Alfriston on the Sussex Downs situated a few miles from Eastbourne and the dramatic coastline near to Beachy Head.

Our home for the 5 night holiday commencing on Sunday June 8th will be the delightful DEANS PLACE HOTEL which is a privately owned and managed Country House Hotel situated in its own splendid grounds at the Southern end of the village.

There are 36 bedrooms in the Hotel all of varying sizes and designs and we have reserved a selection of 20 of these for our guests. There is a comfortable bar and lounge downstairs along with a spacious conference room overlooking the gardens which will be our Bridge room for the week.

During our stay in this lovely part of Southern England we plan to do two or three gentle walks along the South Downs footpaths which run right next to the Hotel, exploring some of the quaint villages and historic buildings in the area as well as taking in some of the spectaculr coast - line around Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters National Park.

We are also arranging a round or two of Golf for those wanting a game, along with a chance for tennis enthusiasts to play at one of the Eastbourne clubs. There will also be a wine tasting visit to the nearby English Wine centre where we can try a selection of the finest wines made in the South of England.

The Deans Place Hotel is a very special place with friendly staff, a high quality restaurant and a delightful setting just outside the pretty village of Alfriston. There is also a large heated outdoor swimming pool in the garden with a Croquet lawn and even a 9 hole putting green!

For our 5 night stay there is a selection of Bedrooms on offer including 3 small single rooms without a supplement along with a number of Standard double and twin rooms. There are also 6 larger superior rooms which tend to have better views of the Gardens and surrounding countryside.

The advertised price includes half board accommodation, a cream tea on arrival, a welcome cocktail party, good quality house wines with dinner, all the Bridge and administration costs, a special gourmet dinner one evening and the guided walking tours.

As we have had a lot of interest already from our regular guests for this holiday we do recommend an early reservation to secure the room of your choice and the chance to enjoy this rather special Alpine Bridge week in East Sussex.

We do expect this trip to be booked up fairly quickly and so if you want to join us Please CONTACT US for a booking form and complete your details and requirements before returning to us along with a deposit of £150 per person.
